I Wished To Be a Rich Man’s Kid

Happy soul ultra pro max!

I wished to be a rich man’s kid
One who had everything at his disposal
And pampered with myrrh and gold when upset
I longed to dress in fine purple linen
And put on a year’s wages perfume

But here I am, a slave, a poor but pious pauper
On my knees to seek mercy from the Lord
Here I am, so much willing to do anything to own the earth
To be recognized as a human and have a title
But for what gain?
